Deal Thirteen cards are dealt into a pile. This is the reserve. A fourteenth card is dealt above and to the right of the reserve. This is the first of four foundations. When the other cards of the same rank as this foundation are uncovered during play the are placed next to this foundation. Below the foundations a row of four cards is dealt. This becomes the tableau. The remaining cards are placed in the stock. Play • The tableau should be built downward in alternating colors. • The foundations are built up in rank with the Ace ranking above the King. • The top card of each pile is available for building on the foundations. • All of the cards in a pile must be transferred as a unit to be built upon another pile. • A space created by the removal of all of the cards in the pile must be filled by the top card from the reserve. If the reserve pile is empty it may be filled by a card from the wastepile. • Cards are turned up from the stock three at a time and placed face-up in the wastepile. • The stock may be redealt an unlimited number of times. Winning The game is won when all cards have been played onto the foundations.
